This role involves working closely with finance teams, process owners, and technical teams to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with financial regulations.The overall purpose of this role is to:
- Design, configure, and maintain SAP FICO solutions to support business processes.
- Provide expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, and integration with other SAP modules.
- Lead troubleshooting, enhancements, and system upgrades related to FICO.
- Ensure compliance with financial standards (GAAP, IFRS, SOX).
- Optimize financial processes through SAP automation
- Configure and customize SAP FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis).
- Design and implement financial reporting structures, document splitting, and parallel accounting.
- Support period-end closing activities, financial audits, and tax-related configurations.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards, Fiori apps, and custom reports.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot and resolve FICO-related issues, including debugging where necessary.
- Document functional specifications for custom developments (e.g., interfaces, enhancements).
- Manage SAP FICO transports and ensure proper change management processes.
- Collaborate with finance teams to gather business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Conduct end-user training and create training materials.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and proactive enhancements.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide knowledge transfer.
- Work with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, PP) to ensure seamless integration.
- Lead workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive process improvements.
- Work with SD, MM, and PP teams on integration points (e.g., revenue recognition, material valuation).
- Coordinate with ABAP developers for custom solutions.
- Liaise with security teams for role-based access controls in FICO.
- Optimize financial processes to reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes within SAP.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or IT.
- 8+ years of SAP FICO configuration and implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of FI-GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, CO-PC, and integration with other modules.
