Summary: Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs. Duties & Responsibilities: SE Software Security Engineer Duties/Responsibilities: Support R&D teams in compliance with Viavi security policies by identifying, documenting and communicating security processes and procedures Design, develop and implement common security tooling to track security compliance, assessed vulnerabilities Review and support assessment and prioritization of software vulnerabilities based on risk factors. Work within R&D to recommend and inject security stages into CI/CD development model to produce and validate solutions Track and report R&D compliance to Viavi security initiatives Basic Qualifications: BS or MS in Security Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Security Engineering or related field 5-10 years of secure software lifecycle development experience Experience configuring, deploying and reviewing results of various SAST and DAST security tools: Trivy, Teneable Nessus, OWASP ZAP Experience reviewing and understanding Security vulnerabilities scan reports CSSLP certification Experience working in a Linux environment Intermediate Python or other scripting for automation and data analysis Working with a variety of data formats such as JSON, YAML, CSV Preferred Qualifications: Experience with some or all of the following: Working knowledge of Artifactory and Artifactory XRay Working with applications using containerized Microservices Experience using Kubernetes to deploy and manage resources Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, Bamboo Security issue identification, assessment, and prioritization of cloud-hosted environments Strong technical communication skills Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
