Collaborate with travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to negotiate rates, arrange group bookings, and secure reservations. Process bookings and reservations through the agency's booking systems or online platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmation. Handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire booking process and beyond. Stay informed about travel regulations, visa requirements, and health and safety guidelines for different destinations. Maintain client records, including contact information, itineraries, and special requests, ensuring confidentiality and data protection. Upsell additional services and travel-related products, such as travel insurance, car rentals, and excursions, to enhance the client's travel experience. Collaborate with colleagues and senior travel agents to share knowledge, best practices, and promote teamwork within the agency. Qualifications Proven experience as a travel agent or in a similar customer service role within the travel industry. Strong knowledge of popular travel destinations, airline and hotel booking procedures, and travel documentation requirements. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive client relationships. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and the ability to explain complex travel information clearly. Proficiency in using computer reservation systems (CRS) or online travel booking platforms. Familiarity with relevant travel industry regulations and compliance. Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, with the capacity to multitask and handle multiple client requests simultaneously. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per the agency's operational needs. High school diploma or equivalent; additional travel-related certifications or training are a plus.
