Hybrid Working Structured hybrid role: At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction: The Business Management team is the single point of contact for all activity related to BM activity that includes Workforce, Resource and Location Strategy, Leadership Support and Approval Governance. The Business Manager will work in partnership with Senior BM, FBPs and Lead F&BM for BUK COO Customer Care Operations on cost management priorities on behalf of their stakeholder. . Support the Finance and Business Manager in delivering the day to day agenda, reporting and providing a high quality, consistent and standardised offering across the function . Working in partnership with the Workforce CoE, provide forward looking and insightful projections for MTP, STP, Outlook, Transfers, scenario analytics. . Working in partnership with various stakeholders to source, assess, validate and report agreed metrics or KPI's. . Handling high criticality reports that includes senior leadership including Group CIO. . Support the F&BM lead and TC AE on Location strategy analysis and reporting, Hiring approvals, Vacancy review & challenge . Work with other key function partners on behalf of the Head of Business Management and act as delegate where required . Provide Strategic support to the Finance and Business Manager not limited to QBRs, MBRs, TC Weekly's, OpCo, Monthly offsite facilitation, D&I people pillar, Service Management, Vendor support, ensuring COE partners provide services as required . Supporting capacity creation, cost allocation understanding and risks & opportunities management . Work in partnership with the Finance team to ensure full alignment, accuracy and ownership of the numbers What will you be doing . Workforce Planning and Management - Support the Finance and Business Manager in providing insights & commentary of current & Outlook workforce reporting (including Capacity Creation) with clear linkages to drivers - Be the go-to SME for workforce and related financials - Own and manage planning activities throughout the year - MTP, STP, Outlooks, Transfers. Provide insights on how business strategy drives the future plan. - Ensure hiring requests align with organisational aims - Provide a regular view on workforce outlook and any opportunities or risks - Ensure best in class, efficient and robust controls are in place and maintained - Support the Finance and Business manager on engagement with AEs on current resource position and then help drive the resource strategy implementation (Payroll Mix, EOY targets, location strategy, Diversity, Talent, Succession Planning, Furloughs, Insourcing, vendor analysis etc. to drive accountability) - Provide commercial insights of Workforce MI against plan and tracking against Location and WF Strategy - Support the Transaction Cycle Operating model design across the Transaction Cycle/ Business. (inc. working alongside HR and Business with Spans and Layers / Taxonomy activity etc.) - Manage vacancies / hiring plans based on locations / aging / affordability etc. . Supplier Management: To work with finance and business to provide oversight on all spend requests. . Strategy, Insights & Leadership Support - Proactively drive production of MI using golden source data - Provide support to the Finance and Business Manager in the adherence of the day to day agenda, strategic and Adhoc assignments for Transaction Cycle AEs and their Leadership Teams, providing insights & recommendations - Support the production of the Transaction Cycle Weekly's, QBRs, MBRs, OpCo etc. . Hiring and Recruitment Management: - Reviewing Authority to Recruit (ATR) requests and assist in approving if within affordable shape. - Reporting of open ATRs, review and challenge, respond to hiring queries. - Review and assist in approving all the INTP requests. . Governance & Control - Ensure a strong governance framework is in place by ensuring that there is a regular cadence of management review meeting across all topics including but not limited to: Controls, Cost, WF, Performance, D&I - Provide stakeholders with monthly MI and insight on key WF metrics including D&I, location strategy, variance to latest plan. - Familiarise and understand the golden sources of data to drive accurate MI, assist senior BM / F&BM Lead in conversion of data into quality MI - Support F&BM in delivering to the Transaction Cycle or Function lead ensuring compliance to the group wide governance and control framework. - Actively manage stakeholder queries on governance issues. Strong experience in a Business Management function with an excellent understanding of working with leaders on a day-to-day basis. . Experience in operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organisation a plus, with proven ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies . Attention to detail and strong organisational skills a must. . Degree qualification or equivalent experience required . Strong analytical skills, Ability to simplify complexity . Knowledge on Tableau & Alteryx will be added advantage . Ability to balance multiple critical requests from various stakeholders - driving and execute deliverables in short time frames and work with limited supervision to thrive in a challenging and ever changing environment . Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels and geographies of the organization. . Strong Communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums. Proven ability to distil information into key messages and deliver succinctly according to audience .
