In this role, you will provide structural engineering support throughout the design phase of solar energy projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant solutions.What you can expect as Structural Associate at Illumine-i:

You'll complete structural analysis and provide calculation packages for building structures and solar mounting systems such as residential roofs, commercial roofs, ground mounts, solar canopies and other miscellaneous structures.
You'll generate design calculations and engineering reports using structural engineering concepts.
You'll collaborate with the design team to layout plans, notes, schedules, and details for solar array installation on permit plans. Projects are primarily residential structures but will also include commercial facilities and self-supported ground-mounted structures.
You'll be gaining deep knowledge of PV system components like modules, racking, inverters and BOS.

Essential Qualifications include:

1+ years' experience providing structural calculations, review and stamps for solar PV permits.
Familiarity with applicable codes such as IBC, IRC, ASCE 7, NDS, and AISI.
Familiarity with solar panel array layouts.

Great to have:

Excellent organizational skills: proficient with MS Excel spreadsheets and data management
