Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering field. 3-6 years of experience in V&V of PLC and HMI-based products or industrial automation systems. Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming and testing tools Strong understanding of control systems, industrial protocols, and safety standards. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Test Strategy: Develop V&V plans for PLCs covering functional, integration, and system-level testing. PLC Validation: Test ladder logic, I/O configs, communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus), and safety interlocks Automation & Tools: Build test benches using RSLogix, TIA Portal, Codesys; automate where applicable. Traceability: Link requirements to test cases; maintain audit-ready documentation Issue Resolution: Diagnose failures, drive root cause analysis, and corrective actions with design/firmware teams. HMI Testing: Validate UI logic, alarms, trends, and HMI-PLC communication (OPC UA, MQTT) Compliance: Align with IEC 61131, ISO 13849, UL, CE; support certification and audits Reporting: Document test protocols, logs, deviations, and improvement actions Process Improvement: Optimize V&V workflows; mentor junior engineers. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams; contribute to design reviews and FMEA Legacy Support: Validate updates to legacy PLCs; ensure compatibility and documentation accuracy.
