- Analyzing product design and development changes; establishing corresponding procedures for change control and configuration.
- Preparing or developing configuration documentation required to support manufacturing operations.
- Communicating and coordinating with customers, manufacturers and other stakeholders to determine processes for change reporting.
- Reviewing released engineering change data and changing documentation activities to ensure compliance with configuration management policies and regulations.
- Setting up SAP Variant Configuration models which allow our customers to price and order configurable products online.
- Developing a Super Bill of Materials, to allow the correct components to be purchased and built.
- Accurate analysis and translation of business and customer requirements into system requirements to enable successful implementation of product change reflective in both the dealer facing sales systems and the manufacturing execution systems.
- Collaborating with global engineering and price list teams to determine product offerings and their compatibility rules during New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
- Collaborating with global facilities on implementation of engineering changes
- The role will require active participation in NPI, engineering change and other projects to offer knowledge, expert advice and to commit to VC and BOM task durations.
- The role will include rapid resolution of production critical and dealer facing issues and thorough root cause analysis to ensure permanent corrective actions are in place.
