Job Title: Workday Workforce Planning Consultant (Adaptive Planning)Location: Remote (India)About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Workday Workforce Planning Consultant with strong Adaptive Planning expertise to lead end-to-end implementations for a German enterprise client. This role requires hands-on ownership of discovery, model design, data integration, configuration, testing, and enablement. You will help HR, Finance, and People Analytics teams deliver accurate headcount, cost, and capacity plans fully reconciled with Workday HCM and Finance.Key ResponsibilitiesDiscovery & BlueprintFacilitate workshops with HR and Finance stakeholders to define planning levels, granularity, drivers, and calendars.Produce a solution blueprint covering model map, dimensions, versions/scenarios, security, and reconciliation approach to Workday HCM.Model Design & Build (Adaptive Planning)Design driver-based Workforce and Compensation models (FTE, vacancies, backfills, merit/bonus, on-costs, benefits assumptions).Configure sheets, versions, modeled lists, assumptions, and allocation logic; build validation rules and audit checks.Create dashboards and management reports for variance, run-rate, and scenario comparisons.Data & IntegrationsDefine data dictionaries and mappings; connect to Workday HCM/Financials via RaaS/EIB/SFTP pipelines and CSV.Implement reference data loads (companies, cost centers, job profiles, grades, locations).Reconcile models with HCM (position control, worker counts) and Finance (GL/cost assumptions).Security, Governance & ComplianceConfigure role-based access for planners, HRBPs, and finance users, ensuring least-privilege and auditability.Support GDPR and Germany-specific compliance requirements, including Works Council engagement.Testing, Cutover & EnablementBuild SIT/UAT test plans; run parallel validations against spreadsheets or prior forecasts.Lead cutover, manage hypercare, and deliver runbooks, admin guides, and planner training.Optimization & Value RealizationIntroduce rolling forecasts, scenario modeling (best/base/worst), and automation to shorten planning cycles.Track adoption and accuracy; provide iterative optimization recommendations.Required Qualifications4–8 years' experience in FP&A/HRIS, with 2–4+ years implementing Workday Adaptive Planning (Workforce Planning).Strong Workday HCM fundamentals: org structure, positions vs. job management, and compensation elements.Proven expertise in model building: driver design, sheets, versions/scenarios, security, and dashboards/reports.Hands-on data integration experience using Workday RaaS/EIB, SFTP pipelines, Excel/Power Query, or SQL basics.Strong facilitation, documentation, and client-facing communication skills.Ability to work remotely with consistent CET overlap.Nice to HaveWorkday Adaptive Planning or Workday Pro certification(s).Experience integrating Workforce Planning with Workday Financials/Prism or BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).German language skills and understanding of Works Council processes.
