Job Description:Key Responsibilities
· Serve as a technical SME and lead the development of execution frameworks and methodologies for utility data management projects(e.g., conversion, conflation, migration, maintenance).
· Lead the Utilities practice team, managing existing services and developing new offerings such as smart data services, field data
collection, mobile workforce management, and outage management systems.
· Define project parameters including goals, specifications, business rules, processes, technology stack, required skill sets, quality
benchmarks, evaluation criteria, and SLAs.
· Drive pre-sales efforts by contributing to solution proposals, project sizing, pilot projects, and creation of supporting documentation
(capability decks, white papers, presentations).
· Conduct current state assessments and visualize 'as-is' vs. 'to-be' business scenarios for solution alignment.
· Analyze industry trends, customer pain points, and regulatory frameworks, offering strategic insights into Smart Grid and related
initiatives.
· Contribute to proposal writing, including scope definition, solution frameworks, estimation, risk mitigation, and assumptions.
· Recommend process and technology roadmaps for achieving targeted business outcomes.
· Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, and customer teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
· Engage clients in solution architecture discussions and lead consultative workshops to recommend best-fit solutions.
· Mentor and coach junior team members, building future technical leadership within the organization.
· Proactively identify technical risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
· Champion innovation and thought leadership by defining new services and frameworks for market introduction.
· Explore and recommend automation opportunities using emerging digital technologies.
· Develop white papers that highlight innovative solutions and best practices in utilities data management.
· Author technical blogs and articles to communicate trends, methodologies, and use cases in the utility space.
· Create e-learning modules to educate stakeholders on technologies, processes, and best practices.
· Deliver tech talks/webinars to share knowledge on emerging topics and solutions in utilities network data.
Required Skills & Experience
· 10-15 years of hands-on experience in utility data management (conversion, conflation, maintenance, and migration).
· In-depth knowledge of electric and gas network asset data (spatial and non-spatial).
· Expertise in platforms like ESRI ArcFM, GE Smallworld, G/Technology (GTech), and EUN, with deep understanding of their data
models.
· Experience with ESRI Utility Network (UN) and related GIS platforms; certifications are a plus.
· Strong understanding of data workflows and ability to optimize utility data processes.
· Proven track record of defining technical strategies, leading solution workshops, and conducting requirement analysis sessions.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
