The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding company assets, infrastructure, raw materials, finished goods, and personnel. The role involves leading a team of security guards, implementing safety standards, managing vehicular traffic, and ensuring strict access control in a high-activity industrial environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Manpower Management: Lead, supervise, and mentor shift-wise security personnel (guards/supervisors). Ensure discipline, proper turn-out, and adherence to duty rosters.
  • Access Control (Material & Personnel): Manage entry/exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles. Maintain accurate Visitor Registers and Material Inward/Outward registers.
  • Material Movement Control: Verify Deliver Challans (DC), invoices, and gate passes. Ensure strict checking of outgoing vehicles (seal checks, weighbridge documentation) to prevent pilferage.
  • Plant Patrols & Surveillance: Conduct regular rounds and patrols of the plant perimeter, warehouses, and manufacturing floors to identify safety hazards. Monitor CCTV surveillance systems.
  • Emergency Response & Security: Act as the first responder for fire safety, accidents, medical emergencies, theft, or labor unrest. Develop and execute fire fighting and emergency evacuation plans.
  • Liaison & Reporting: Maintain good rapport with local police, administration, and fire authorities. Submit daily incident reports (DD) and occurrence reports to the Plant Management.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., PSARA). Enforce safety protocols, including mandatory PPE (helmet, safety shoes) usage at entry points.
Required Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial security, specifically in manufacturing, automotive, or engineering plants.
  • Background: Ex-Serviceman (Retired JCO/NCO from Army, Navy, or Air Force).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email) and hands-on experience with CCTV systems.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to perform active supervision and patrols.
  • Language: Proficiency in the local language and basic Hindi/English for documentation.
