Your Role Purpose / Mission As a Team Leader your mission is to lead the GECIA mechanical design team of Engineered Systems GAP-ASIA team from front, where on-time Delivery & First Time Right Approach is necessary. Participate in all engineering phases, while improving Project Realization of our product and driving the Solution-centric approach of the team. You will also act as facilitator at customer's site for rendering services from different competencies at GECIA. Role: Your main tasks would be the team and project management, resource planning, project reviews executed by the team, competence development of the team, monitoring deliverables, communication with all internal and external stakeholders. Improve, maintain, and Develop the team to take more challenges to become preferred solution partner in product companies. You should be customer focused, people focused, technology focused, product focused. You will also act as facilitator at customer's site for rendering services from different competencies at GECIA. Responsibilities: People Management Psychological aspect of team members is important while executing Engineered solutions projects. Translate the management objectives into concrete actions; Provide inputs for performance review and planning; Resolve conflicts within team members; Support team building activities; Provide inputs on goal setting and performance appraisals; Suggest improvement areas; Mentor team; Increase engagement levels in the team; provide inputs for skill development in the team. To build a performance-oriented culture within the team. Project Planning Attend POM, KOM and define project deliverables, key milestones, and project plan. Understand boundaries of the project against the statement of work/contract/proposal; Define the work to be carried out by vendors; Assign the project team based on understanding of the competencies and skill sets required for the project; Seek feedback from the Service Delivery Head for all the plans to incorporate suggestions and share the final plan with the client to effectively plan the project delivery on-time and first time right. Project Execution Monitor work activities, deliverables, adherence to the SOPs, resource utilisation and efficiency daily for both internal project team and vendors, resolve technical queries raised by the team with respect to project execution; Coordinate with agencies like CAD administration and ASAP to resolve issues related to IT and licensing, Monitor progress against the time estimates and raise overruns the Project Manager; Provide inputs to the SDH to update the SOPs and on trainings required by the team To deliver the project within the defined time and cost. Internal and External reporting Discuss updates, raise red flags and unresolved issues with the Service Delivery Head weekly during project review meetings: update the project plan based on situation and seek sign off from the Service Delivery Head; Provide status update to the customer weekly; communicate deliverables to the stakeholder on achievement of key milestones. To update internal and external stakeholders with project progress. Quality checks Establish and develop dedicated reviewer to conduct quality checks of deliverables with respect product, process. PLM/PDM and provide feedback to the team; Analyse the quality scores on the project; participate in End of engineering and end of production meetings, discuss quality scores with the Service Delivery Head, Practice Head and Project Team. Define improvement methods and development plans for the more efficient operation of the team with the aim of implementing optimized systems or procedures. Pre-Engineering support Attend POM and provide correct technical info, estimation to the Project Team and assist in creating proposals for end customers to provide accurate information (pre-engineering document) to the end customer while bidding projects. To succeed, you will need Experience Requirements Min 8+ yrs. of experience in the technical competence First-hand experience of working on GAP Projects. Experience of operational issues. Knowledge of working in compressor field is plus Knowledge People Management skill. Project management skills. Expert in technical competence. CAD software Enovia GAP Products (compressor, skid packages, Heavy Fabrication, Piping and Packaging) Educational Requirements BE Mechanical Degree (8+ year Relevant experience) Diploma Mechanical (10+ year Relevant experience) Personality Requirements Passionate for this role.
