Understand business requirements in Business Intelligence (BI) context, convert business requirements into technical specifications.
Design, develop, test, and deploy BI solutions as per needs. Redefine and make strategic/technical changes to enhance existing BI solutions.
Build, maintain, and enhance Data Warehouse and ETL implementations for BI solutions.
Create, maintain, and enhance analytical scripts and perform detailed analytics.
Use SQL querying for best results, use filters and graphs for better understanding of data.
Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models.
Analyze and present data through reports that aid decision-making.
Create charts and document data explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations.
Create, maintain, and enhance reporting dashboards (including interactive visual ones) on Power BI and Qlik Sense.
Monitor and support BI production environment.
Establish quality processes to deliver stable and reliable BI solutions.
Work with stakeholders and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions.

What would your day look like?

Collect and understand BI requirements by working with different SMEs.
Identify data requirements, build data pipelines and ETL solutions, and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
Develop and maintain APIs (preferably in Python) for data extraction and transformation.
Create custom tables/views using ETL tools like SSIS to support report/dashboard development.
Deploy, monitor, and update reports/DB/ETL objects in production environment.
Create custom calculations and charts as per requirements.
Design Power BI DAX and Qlik Sense expression queries and functions.
Develop reports/dashboards using Power BI and Qlik Sense. Migrate existing ones from QlikView to Sense.
Communicate the overall BI solution design to both technical and business stakeholders.
Actively solicit input from stakeholders and provide feedback to the leadership and program manager at every step of BI lifecycle from development to operations.
Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those.

Who are we looking for?

4-year University (Bachelor's) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of Information Systems and data analyst experience.
3+ years of technical experience on SQL and BI Tools. scripting in R, Python, Powershell, or similar language
Excellent SQL skills - write SQL queries, create stored procedures, fix performance issues.
Excellent Reporting skills - develop high-quality Power BI and Qlik Sense reports.
Good ETL knowledge - configure SSIS for ETL operations. Play a role in the areas of ETL design, data modeling, and ETL development.
Good understanding of Data Warehouse, fact, and dimensional tables.
Proven ability to design and develop BI and analytics solutions, manage data, and iteratively build and prototype dashboards.
Preferred adept at several reporting and presentation tools (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel), more advanced BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView / Sense), and related data management tools (SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS).
Good understanding of BI industry standards and emerging methodologies.
Hands-on results/delivery-oriented professional with proven ability to collaborate with high caliber technical and business teams.
Keen to learn and adapt to technologies beyond data storage, migration, and reporting tools.
Strong communication and cross group collaboration skills, experience in working with geographically distributed teams across organizational boundaries.
