Compensation: Open and flexible, based on experienceA fast-growing game studio is looking for a Game Designer to join their team and help shape a competitive mobile shooter with extraction elements. This role is a great fit for someone who’s analytical, quality-focused, and passionate about games—especially shooters—and who thrives in a highly ambitious, hands-on environment.You’ll be part of a tight-knit, high-performance team building a new title from the ground up. The role blends traditional design work with experimentation in AI-assisted tools and workflows.What You’ll Do
- Write clear, detailed game design documentation covering systems, mechanics, controls, and player experience
- Take ownership of polish and quality across gameplay features, working closely with engineers, artists, and other designers
- Run competitive and market analysis of leading mobile and shooter titles to guide design decisions
- Plan and manage playtesting sessions, gather feedback, and iterate on design based on user insights
- Explore and implement AI tools for prototyping, content support, and design iteration
- Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Excellent written communication with an eye for clarity and detail
- A real passion for shooter games and understanding of what makes them feel great to play
- Curiosity and openness to learning new tools, especially around AI and emerging tech
- Previous experience designing features, systems, or content (professional or hobbyist)
- Comfort with user testing and iteration based on data or qualitative feedback
- Bonus: experience in mobile, F2P, or multiplayer titles
