1. To implement and maintain a QC service to the site covering all aspects
of quality control for incoming materials, in-process, finished product
testing and decision (approved or rejected).
2. To provide analytical support and data reporting to assist other functions
with troubleshooting and problem solving for the site.
3. To provide product analysis for all saleable material which includes
matters arising out of customer complaints, queries or requests for
analytical support.
4. To implement and maintain appropriate training regimes for new and
existing QC staff to meet departmental objectives.
5. To supervise QC analysts and ensure resources are in place to deliver
appropriate analytical support to the site. To manage staff to ensure
effective performance, by providing appropriate development and
training, making appraisals, proposing awards/recognition.
6. To assist with recruitment and selection of departmental staff.
7. To manage SHE performance to meet site and specific laboratory
requirements and to identify and continually deliver improvements in
laboratory effective management of customer service.
8. To assist with the implementation and maintenance of QA systems for
the department including calibration of equipment.
9. To effectively communicate with all people on site and other
departments within the organisation on product quality matters and to
bring to the attention of Manufacturing Manager any undesirable trends
in product quality and suggest appropriate corrective action.
10. Apply technical knowledge to evaluate and formulate/help to formulate
new and existing products to meet market needs. This activity can vary
from 1 to 6 months before implementation.
11. The role requires a high level of attention to details, good planning and
organising skills, good people management skills.
12. To provide a technical support service to other departments as and when
required including customer inquires and complaints. To lead the COSI
committeeDesired profile of the candidate Masters in Chemistry (Full time), Analytical chemistry prefered.Internal Auditor QMS
5 – 8 years of experience in Quality Control
Experience of supervising QC team.
Must have worked in GLP environment.Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Required SAP / IT user.Attention to detail, teambuilder, good interpersonal skills.
Analytical expertise
Good problem solving and planning and organising
Good knowledge of site processes and products (site specific).
Knowledge of English language
