This role ensures that all electrical infrastructure functions optimally and complies with safety and operational standards. The incumbent collaborates with teams to implement efficient maintenance protocols and resolves technical challenges to maintain uninterrupted airport operations.Responsibilities:Electrical Maintenance and Operations:Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of HT/LT electrical systems, including substations, distribution panels, and power systems.Monitor and ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical airport facilities, addressing faults promptly.Supervise the execution of electrical works for all critical electrical systems (HVAC, lighting, baggage handling, etc.), both planned and emergency maintenance, to minimize downtime.Budgeting and Resource Allocation:Manage the budget for electrical maintenance projects. and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives while ensuring that the integrity and reliability of electrical systems are not compromised.Optimize the allocation of resources including materials, equipment, and personnel for ongoing maintenance tasks and projects.Safety and Compliance:Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, conducting periodic audits of electrical systems.Maintain compliance with aviation standards, such as ICAO, IATA, and DGCA regulations.Team Leadership and Development:Lead a team of technicians and junior engineers to execute maintenance tasks efficiently.Provide technical guidance and support to resolve operational challenges and optimize workflows.Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Security, and IT to ensure seamless functioning of electrical systems.Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and service requirements.Equipment Management and Optimization:Oversee the condition, testing, and optimization of electrical equipment, including generators, UPS systems, lighting, and electrical control panels.Ensure that electrical systems are maintained in good working condition and are in line with the airport's energy management goals.Assess and recommend upgrades or replacements for aging electrical systems and components to enhance efficiency and reliability.System Upgrades and Efficiency:Implement technology-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.Standardize procedures for maintenance, ensuring optimal performance of lighting and electrical systems across airport facilities.Incident and Fault Management:Respond to electrical incidents promptly, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.Analyze recurring faults and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, system performance, and incident resolutions for management review.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, equipment inventory, and system updates.Key Stakeholders - Internal:Head - Engineering ServicesAirport Operations TeamSecurity TeamIT TeamCompliance and Safety TeamProcurement TeamKey Stakeholders - External:Regulatory Authorities (e.g., DGCA, ICAO)Vendors and Service ProvidersContractorsOEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) RepresentativesEmergency Response and Fire Safety ServicesQualifications:Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP), or equivalent.Work Experience:Minimum 10+ years in electrical operations and maintenance, with at least 6 years in airport or large-scale infrastructure projects.
