HSN Code Assignment: Classifying and assigning correct HSN codes to parts based on their type/usage and mapping the correct HSN code according to country/standard.
Import Screening: Collecting, reviewing, and organizing commercial and shipping documents for customs clearance.
Customs Clearance: Providing timely instructions to customs brokers, resolving clearance delays, and ensuring compliant customs clearance.
Documentation: Archiving import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, customs entries, and export declarations.
Communication: Interfacing with customs authorities, freight forwarders, carriers, port terminals, buyers, logistics/shipping department, and vendors on customs and export matters.
Data Analysis: Analyzing import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings.
Trade Compliance Records: Preparing, organizing, and maintaining trade compliance-related records and documentation.
Order Holds: Reviewing and processing import order holds and ensuring accuracy in import/export records.
Global Trade Compliance: Supporting accuracy and maintaining robust global trade compliance data within Oracle Global Trade Management and other databases.
Co-ordination: Coordinating with banks (authorized dealers) and Accounts/Finance Team.
Oracle GTM Application: Familiarity with Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) application is a plus.

Education: Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of experience in Customs and Import Compliance.
Certification: CCS Certification/CHA qualification is a plus.
