
Project Program Management Advisor

- End to end responsibility for product delivery lifecycle for new and existing products from approval through design, development, integration, test, deployment and handover to operations
- Work collaboratively with other Project managers and team members of the programme to develop a strategy and development plans
- Typically secures and manages large financial budgets e.g. a central Investment Committee approved budget between £1m - £5m for any one project
- Determines, procures and manages appropriate resources internally and externally to deliver the project
- Engages and manages all 3rd party relationships using company and client policies and procedures
- Develops and gains agreement of project plan
- Provides regular progress reports to Client Programme managers and stakeholders
- Dependencies management with global platform delivery teams where required to enable integration into the local UK delivery roadmap, identifying dependencies with other business initiatives and key projects
- Implements and maintains a consistent project management methodology ensuring project conforms to appropriate governance including all project documentation
- Accountable for managing all aspects of risk, issues, contingency, and escalations
- Effective project/workstream communications with the Client and stakeholders
- Operate and comply with required local and global governance processes- Client Delivery cycle
- Completion of deliverables required for each “Gate Approval”
- Manage Change requests – including impact on time, budget, and quality
- Update and refine business cases for costs and benefits
- Timely updates of status, changes, and other data on to the systems used for reporting and tracking
- Experience in end-to-end Project Management of complex projects, with emphasis on Connectivity, Entertainment and Mobile domains within the telecommunications, cable, and/or media industries, regulatory and legal aspects together with experience of the end-to-end product lifecycle, in addition to technical delivery
- Proven track record in project delivery, planning, operations, or complex business collaborative environment
- Proven experience managing and reporting on project finances and budgeting
- The ability to manage virtual teams working on a number of concurrent large cross functional projects with a successful track record of delivering such projects
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience of waterfall and agile project planning processes, techniques and methodologies used in the industry e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, Scrum.
- Experience in a multi-disciplined and commercial environment
- Ability to understand and manage multiple project risks and issues, dealing with uncertainty, whilst being proactive and forward-looking
- Knowledge of risk trade off options and their impact on project success
- Ability to understand complex organisational designs and structures and understands how to relate these to the project being managed.
- Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict management skills. Ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs
- Ability to respond to challenging priorities with a sense of urgency and pace.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Ideally hold a PMI Project Management Professional or recognised equivalent qualification
- Ideally hold an PMI - Agile Certified Practitioner, Agile Scrum Master or recognised equivalent qualification
- Telecom domain (desired skill)
