We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian accounting and taxation, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our clients. This role involves managing various tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance, and supporting our team in delivering high-quality financial services.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and manage the depreciation register.
Ensure leases are recorded and maintained per schedules.
Review and process payroll accurately as needed.
Oversee bookkeeping, providing feedback and performing tasks as required.
Create and maintain workpapers for each client.
Prepare and finalize Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
Review financial records and prepare EOFY queries.
Prepare and finalize tax returns for various entities (companies, trusts, individuals, SMSF).
Handle SMSF accounting and tax work.
Prepare financial statements and management reports as needed.
Ensure all lodgement deadlines are met (tax returns, activity statements, superannuation).
Attend to client enquiries promptly.
Collaborate with the manager and principal across multiple SME clients.
Handle ATO queries and ensure compliance.
Analyze optimal tax computations for clients.
Perform any other ad hoc duties as required.Skill Requirements:
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent understanding of accounting and Australian tax concepts.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Experience using Australian accounting and taxation software such as Xero, XPM, MYOB, QuickBooks, BGL 360, and others.Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Australian accounting and taxation.
Must be a qualified Chartered AccountantWorking Days: Monday to Saturday (Alternate Saturday off)
