- UAI leadership & operating model
- Lead the UAI Data & AI organization and establish a clear operating system: priorities, cadences, performance management, and cross-capability alignment.
- Ensure squads are consistently staffed and enabled by the capability model (skills readiness, standards, reusable assets).
- Oversight of 4 Capability Sr. Managers
- Set clear goals and accountability for each capability leader (Decision Products, Platform, Governance, AI & Automation).
- Drive integrated planning across capabilities to prevent bottlenecks (e.g., platform readiness, governance gates, AI enablement).
- Coach leaders on talent systems, technical excellence, and stakeholder influence in a matrixed environment.
- Strategy alignment (solid-line reporting local UAI Site Leader &dotted-line to CDAIO / USHQ)
- Translate enterprise Data & AI strategy into UAI capability roadmaps and quarterly plans.
- Ensure UAI standards align to USHQ COEs (architecture, security, governance, AI policy) and that adoption is measurable.
- Provide a structured feedback loop to USHQ on constraints, risks, and opportunities to accelerate enterprise outcomes.
- Talent + retention system
- Own the UAI talent flywheel: hiring bar, leveling, learning plans, rotations, recognition, and regrettable attrition prevention.
- Build leadership routines that sustain engagement and growth (career conversations, mentoring, performance calibration).
- Delivery enablement & quality
- Ensure consistent engineering rigor across squads through capability standards: CI/CD and quality gates, reliability practices, and operational readiness.
- Establish delivery transparency across the portfolio: outcome tracking, dependency management, and escalation pathways.
- Governance, risk, and reliability
- Ensure UAI delivery meets enterprise requirements for security, privacy, auditability, and model risk controls.
- Drive reliability and incident management disciplines (SLOs, MTTR reduction, post-incident learning).
- Vendor / GCC contract performance
- Manage delivery health expectations and continuity mechanisms (key-role coverage, backfill readiness, capability stability).
- Ensure outcomes and quality expectations are met, not just staffing levels.
- Bachelor's degree with typically 15 years leading data/analytics/AI/platform organizations or Master's degree with typically 13 years of relevant experience or typically 19 years of relevant experience without degree
- Typically, 8+ years of management experience, with 5+ years leading leaders (managers of managers).
- Proven experience operating a product + platform model across multiple capability areas (platform, analytics/decision products, governance, AI/automation).
- Strong technical depth in modern data platforms and engineering operating practices (CI/CD, reliability, observability, security-by-design).
- Demonstrated ability to scale talent in India (hiring bar, leveling, career paths, retention systems, and leadership routines).
- Experience working in matrixed global organizations with dotted-line enterprise alignment and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong executive communication skills: ability to translate strategy into operating plans and provide crisp, metrics-driven updates to senior leadership.

- Work Schedule:This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week
