We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a best-in-class engineering center with a focus on excellence.Title: Senior Site Reliability DeveloperThe Oracle Cerner Database Infrastructure team within OHAI is currently searching for skilled Site Reliability Developers to join our dynamic team. The role primarily focuses on working with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.Basic Qualifications

5+ years of total experience with Bachelor's degree/master's degree (Information Technology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Software/Electronics/Operational Research/Computer System Engineering).
Strong understanding of cloud concepts, platforms, and distributed systems.
Strong ability to convey complex technical issues effectively in both written and verbal form.
Knowledge of server hardware and software configuration, networking, standard internet services, scripting languages, cloud computing patterns, technology security and compliance.
Knowledge of Python, Java, Linux internals, Load Balancers, Virtualization, Virtual Networking, Networking and TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Monitoring and Instrumentation, DevOps toolchain, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, Helm, Terraform, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, CI/CD, Kafka, Flink etc.
Experience defining and documenting technical architecture of a complex and highly scalable product to include development and refinement of operating procedures and troubleshooting guides (runbooks).
3 - 5 years' experience running large scale customer facing web services.
Understanding of various Cloud offering and Cloud concepts
Experience on Oracle OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Strong problem-solving and Debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with several of the following technologies: Puppet, Chef, Helm, Terraform, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, Load Balancing including L7 routing, DNS, and CDN
Experience on Databases and big data stores
Experience on Container and Container Management technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience on defining and documenting technical architecture of complex and highly scalable products
Great teammate with outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
Familiarity with DevOps & DevSecOps practices
