Job Description:Job Title: Software Developer Designation: Assistant ManagerLocation: Mph-Infinity Park, Mumbai, INJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with a strong focus on Mainframe IMS DBA knowledge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing software applications while ensuring the integrity and performance of database systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement software applications in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
Manage and maintain Mainframe IMS databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform database performance tuning and optimization to enhance application efficiency.
Conduct regular database backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and compliance.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software development and database management.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge of Mainframe IMS DBA, including database design, administration, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to software development (e.g., COBOL, Java, C++).
Experience with software development methodologies and best practices.
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with other database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their integration with mainframe systems.
Understanding of software testing and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in database administration or software development are a plus.
