- Design system and components that meet requirements, manufacturing/service needs and relative regulations.
- Support in design documentation & artifact presentation as per design process.
- Approaches problems in a rational manner and with best in class tools to ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.
- Continuously learns and grow technical depth and knowledge across product lines.
- Communicate design detail with vendors and implement the theoretical designs.
- Evaluate designs’ performance and reliability with verification tests and fix bugs.
- Identify and contribute to Knowledge management opportunities for the products assigned with through guidance & mentorship
- Build necessary backup info for design concepts & trade off analysis. Execute on standardizations of mechanical design process, optimizes and popularizes design best practice.
- Independently perform Design Calculations / Analysis by applying engineering fundamentals
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 – 15 years’ experience working with system and component level Design and Development of Refrigeration or other Thermal Engineering projects.
- Lead More than 5 projects end to end of medium/high complexity (involving Selection/Design Conceptualization, Evaluation and Site Implementation/ Manufacturing transfer)
- Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering Principles (Structural, Theory of machines, Fluid Mechanics and Heat transfer etc.)
- Work on medium to high complexity projects with end-to-end project ownership of Thermal/ Refrigeration subsystem and interactions.
- Experience working with design simulations (like CFD, load calculations, sizing & selection)
- Create Predictive Analytical models using Basic fundamental and validate using experimental testing for heat transfer equipments
- Basic understanding of alternative refrigeration technologies (Thermoelectric, Absorption systems, Stirling engines etc.) would be an added advantage.
- Contribute to design analysis and simulation for design optimization and confirmation to requirements
- Conduct testing as per test plans (including functional and regulatory test cases) and record results
