HIRING FOR AWS DATA ENGINEER- CHENNAIJob Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines and architectures on AWS to support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS data services, a strong background in data engineering, and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines using AWS services such as:Glue, EMR, Redshift, Lambda, S3, Athena, Kinesis, Step FunctionsBuild and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions.Implement data quality, data governance, and monitoring mechanisms.Ensure best practices in data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization.Automate data workflows and ingestion from various sources (APIs, RDBMS, streaming, etc.).Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.Stay current with AWS and data engineering best practices and new technologies.Qualifications & Skills:Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.3–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years in AWS-centric environments.Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, or Scala.Expertise in SQL and performance tuning for large datasets.Deep knowledge of AWS data services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Athena, etc.Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, data wrangling, and transformation techniques.Solid understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.Preferred:Experience with streaming technologies like Kinesis, Kafka, or Apache Flink.Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices for data pipelines.Hands-on experience with Airflow, DBT, or similar orchestration tools.AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Results-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive.
