- Feature Ownership & Planning
- Lead feature development for core instrument cluster & HUD domains:
- Speedometer, Tachometer, Fuel/Battery, Warning Indicators, Tell-tales
- Navigation guidance in cluster
- ADAS visualizations (L2+/L3), drive mode displays
- Reconfigurable layouts (themes, skinning)
- Turn-by-turn and IVI sync (e.g., media info, calls)
- ISO standards and legal compliance (e.g. ISO26262, FMVSS111)
- Translate OEM customer feature requirements into technical tasks
- Define and track feature milestones aligned with product release cycles
- Lead supplier for the successful development of Cluster and HUD
- Cross-Team Technical Leadership
- Coordinate across HMI, Middleware, Platform (QNX/Linux), Graphics, and UI design teams
- Ensure robust communication between vehicle signals (CAN, LIN) and display interface
- Collaborate with vehicle function teams for signal mapping, validation, and timing requirements
- Development & Integration Support
- Guide development team in UI rendering frameworks (e.g., Qt, Kanzi, Unity, or in-house HMI engines)
- Drive quality delivery through code reviews, validation, static and dynamic check through
- Ensure real-time data handling and low-latency rendering of critical driving information
- Testing, Debugging, and Validation
- Support bench testing, HiL/SiL simulation
- Lead issue triage for bugs
- Coordinate compliance testing (functional safety, ISO 26262, automotive SPICE, cybersecurity)
- Deep Automotive Domain knowledge
- Understanding of Digital cluster and HUD Hardware platform and Software Architecture
- Exposure to Android-based IVI systems for cross-domain coordination
- Collaborate with product management, engineering and design teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into comprehensive Cluster & HUD system specifications.
- Participate in design reviews to validate adherence to specification and user requirements.
- Document and communicate specifications, design decisions and implementation guidelines to stakeholders and team members.
- Very good communication skills and great team spirit
- Fluent in English
- Experience in tools and platforms like:
- Qt, Kanzi, Unity, EB GUIDE, Android studio
- QNX, Embedded Linux, RTOS
- CAN, CANoe/CANalyzer, UDS diagnostics
- Intra and inter ECU communication knowledge.
- Knowledge in FailSafe analysis.
- Exposure to SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) architecture
- Experience with Hypervisor-based domains (QNX/Android co-existence)
- Experience in C, C++, Java, Kotlin
- Experience in design diagram tools like Astah, Enterprise Architect, Visio….
- Good to have experience at OEMs or tier-1 supplier
- Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers and communication protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good in Japanese speaking/reading/writing (JLPT N3 at least)
