Experience Level: 2–7 YearsPosition Summary:The Information Controls Technology team develops and supports advanced surveillance models and scenarios to monitor and enforce the firm’s information barriers. This role focuses on the eCommunications Surveillance program, which is undergoing a migration from a legacy platform to a modern technology stack.As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in aligning existing workflows and surveillance scenarios with the new framework. You’ll be expected to collaborate with vendors, engage with large-scale data analytics (Regex, NLP, AI filtering), and work closely with Compliance teams to achieve business objectives.The ideal candidate should be proactive, analytically strong, technically capable, and comfortable engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Define project objectives, scope, and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.Document business and functional requirements, including workflows, business rules, and use cases.Understand and document data requirements for surveillance scenarios.Create documentation outlining data lineage and a framework for data governance.Become a subject matter expert for compliance data and processes.Collaborate with developers to define and document application infrastructure and architecture.Assist in QA/testing activities, including test plan reviews and test case development.Identify and resolve project and operational issues in partnership with business and IT teams.Proactively manage changes in project scope, assess risks, and develop contingency plans.Build strong relationships with IT and business stakeholders.Monitor and manage data issues, including impact assessments and root cause analysis.Support Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid), working closely with development and QA teams.Required Skills and Qualifications:2–7 years of experience in a large banking organization or major consulting firm in a technology business analyst role.Strong understanding of technology environments, including platforms, organizational structures, and development lifecycles.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with large datasets.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage with both technical and business teams.Experience working independently and collaboratively in global, cross-functional teams.Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).Skilled in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project.Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.Technical exposure in areas such as integration, development, and infrastructure.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with unstructured data processing and large-scale data analytics.Knowledge of tools such as Smarsh, Digital Reasoning, Veritas, Actimize, or similar communications archiving/supervision platforms.Familiarity with Regex, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or AI-based filtering techniques.Experience in extracting and transforming data from SaaS platforms for on-premise reporting.Prior experience working in Compliance Technology within financial services, particularly banking.Work Environment:Global virtual team collaboration across time zones.Dynamic, fast-paced environment that embraces change and innovation.Opportunities to contribute to regulatory compliance initiatives and critical technology transformations.Skills:SQL/Database,Agile(Scrum/Kanban),Integration,Development/InfrastructureAbout Company:UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider.
