We are seeking a motivated Senior Software Engineer with a passion for Unreal Engine to help us build the next generation of our configurator and product visualization initiatives.As a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in 3D content creation tools, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical vision and strategy for our configurator and product visualization initiatives. You will work closely with our principal and lead engineers to optimize processes, generate proper unit tests, and ensure seamless data exchange between systems.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe're looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in 3D content creation tools and/or Unreal Engine and a strong background in working with web APIs and asynchronous code. You should have a deep understanding of 3D graphics and rendering techniques, as well as experience with software development best practices and version control systems.Qualifications and Skills:Required:5+ years of professional experience with programming for one or more 3D content creation software such as Unreal, Maya, Blender, Houdini.Extensive, hands-on experience with C++, Python programmingCreation of custom tools and nodes using the SDKs and APIs for the above mentioned content creation software.Integration of tools and nodes from different content creation software into pipeline workflows.Good understanding of procedural or manual workflows for content creation.Proven ability to write and optimize clean, efficient, and high-performance asynchronous codeStrong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and development
best practices.A deep understanding of software development best practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experiencePreferred:Strong understanding of web APIs and experience integrating them into applicationsExperience leading development teams or mentoring junior engineersFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline development, unit testing, and pixel streaming servicesStrong emphasis on programming for the Unreal Engine frameworkExperience with 3D projections, matrices and transformationsExperience with one or more concepts for 3D content creation - such as procedural modelling, texturing and shader materials, lighting and renderingWHAT YOU'LL WORK ONAs a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in 3D content creation tools such as Unreal Engine, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance C++ code within the Unreal Engine environment. You will work on integrating web APIs, implementing and optimizing asynchronous code, and collaborating with our team to optimize processes and generate proper unit tests.Key Responsibilities:Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable C++ code within the 3D content creation tools and the Unreal Engine environmentTake a leadership role in the design and implementation of core systems for our 3D configurator and visualization productsCollaborate closely with principal and lead engineers to optimize development processes, establish robust unit testing protocols, and ensure seamless data exchange between systemsChampion and implement best practices for asynchronous code to ensure a smooth and highly responsive user experienceIntegrate web APIs and backend services to create a cohesive and feature-rich applicationProactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to Unreal Engine, C++ development, and CI/CD pipelinesMentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and help to elevate the overall technical proficiency of the team
