- Develop and refine process workflows for semiconductor fabrication utilities Bulk Gases, Specialty Gases, UPW, DIW, ETPs, ZLD, Chemical Storage and Supply System.
- Identify and mitigate process bottlenecks through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assess and recommend equipment for the semiconductor utility systems based on process needs e.g. Bulk Gases, Specialty Gases, UPW, DIW, ETPs, ZLD, Chemical Storage and Supply System.
- Collaborate with vendors for equipment selection, installation, and validation.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations (SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA etc.).
- Work with regulatory bodies and internal teams to meet safety and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and facility planners for efficient utility layout designs.
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to align process requirements with project goals.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support training initiatives.
- Understanding the utility requirements from TUM and prepare technical documentation, DBR, PFD, P&ID, equipment specifications and reports.
- Support feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for FAB projects.
- Vendor evaluation and selection, Vendor Engineering Reviews
- Piping Layouts / Piping Distribution, Isometric Drawing preparation, BOQ generations.
- Process inputs for Control Logics.
- Assist in commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) of FAB processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ph.D. in semiconductor process engineering is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience in semiconductor fabrication, process engineering, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor utility design, Bulk Gases, Specialty Gases, Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), De-Ionised Water (DIW), Effluent Treatment, ZLD, Chemical Storage and Supply System
- Strong understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing processes (lithography, etching, deposition, CMP, metrology, etc.).
- Experience with process modeling and simulation tools is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of utility design for the semiconductor FABs.
- Familiarity with process control methodologies (SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other facility planning tools, process simulation tools (Aspen, COMSOL, etc.).
- Understanding of factory automation, Industry 4.0, and digital twin concepts is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and client interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield FAB design.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in semiconductor manufacturing.
