PurposeResponsible for ensuring the physical security and safety of all shipments in the branch / various facilities under the region wherever assigned.2. Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring physical security and safety of all shipments in the region wherever assigned / various facilities (Service Centers, Areas etc.) under the region.Conduct Investigation cases related to loss, damage, pilferages, and theft of shipments and misuse of credit cards in the Region.Responsible for regular updation of SHIELD (online security module) and timely closure of investigation cases related to the region in the system.Responsible for making safety provisions of high value shipments in the branch through physical hand-over and take-over, sending pre-alerts, monitoring shipments in transit, educating customers on packaging etc. as per defined procedure.Conduct of security checks on pickups done in the region wherever assigned for dangerous goods/ banned items.Conduct of security checks on all shipments received from cash customers in the region wherever assigned.Conduct security verifications for all new branch customers prior to signing contractsResponsible for ensure the physical security of all the Blue Dart facilities in the areas covered under theRegion.Responsible for ensuring proper maintenance and the functioning of electronic security devices in the branch (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, etc)Conduct regular security audits in the Region wherever assigned.Undertake pre-employment verifications and police verifications for all new-joinees including PDAs in the region wherever assigned.Conduct security orientation and training for all employees in the region wherever assigned.Regularly conduct electrical audits, fire-safety audits etcConduct various safety training programs for branch employees including emergency response procedures, mock fire-safety drills etcCommunication of the safety related policies and procedures to all the region employeesMaintain relationships and liaison with various regulatory bodies in the areas covered under the Region and reporting to the RSM.Liaise with the local police for smooth operations of delivery /network vehicles during day timeConduct regular trainings of security guards in the region wherever assigned.3.
