- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in sizing and selecting rotating/packaged equipment such as pumps (all types), process gas compressors, instrument air packages, nitrogen generation packages, chemical injection packages, Gas Engine generators, Gas
- Turbines etc. used in plant and field facilities.
- Perform lead role for small to medium size projects/proposals.
- Develop datasheets, technical specifications, technical requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for rotating and packaged equipment.
- Review the engineering documents from vendors on time and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Supervise the third-party engineering contractor and vendors.
- Ensure timely submission of project deliverables as per Master Document List (MDL).
- Shall be proficient in doing CAPEX and OPEX cost analysis in determining the life cycle cost of the equipment.
- Proficient with computer-assisted vendor sizing tools in selecting pumps and compressors. Perform calculations on power requirements for sizing the motors and engines.
- Attend the Factory Acceptance Test(FAT) at vendor works and validate the test reports. Shall be competent in defining the performance guarantee for large rotating equipment.
- Travel to the project site for troubleshooting, supporting installation and commissioning activities. Involve in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and collaborate with OEM for solutions.
- Provide support to processing facilities as required by Operations on engineering/technical matters
- Mentor colleagues and guide developing the engineering deliverables.
- Perform Manhour estimation for scope involving rotating equipment in small to medium-scale projects.
- Participate in 3D model review, HAZOP, and SIL study for the scope involving all types of rotating equipment and packages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team, vendors, fabricators, and third-party inspection agencies to oversee the engineering
- fabrication, inspection and testing of rotating equipment.
- Advise and assist project and other discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry codes and client specification & regulatory requirements.
- Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
- Effective implementation of quality systems, procedures, management of change and revision control.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
- 10+ years of Industry experience
- Prior work experience in EPC, Engineering consultancies, and production facilities.
- Experienced in FEED & EPC projects.
- Proven experience in leading a team of 4-5 engineers.
- Thorough understanding of rotating equipment, with a strong engineering background.
- Proven experience in handling all types of API pumps and compressors.
- Expertise in compressor selection study.
- Thorough knowledge on reputed client specifications and international codes/standards.
- Should have sound knowledge of the Installation and commissioning phase of small to medium scale Oil and Gas projects.
