- The role will be based in India with primary support to Singapore and wider Asia Pacific countries including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan & New Zealand as appropriate. General scope of work as expected from compliance officer would fall within the coverage of this role;
- Support the relevant Head of Compliance and the APAC Compliance function on various internal monthly and weekly compliance reporting requirements and regulatory filings;
- Advise on compliance issues relating to AML/ CTF, PEP and Sanction checks on client and investor files with respect to the relevant regulatory requirements in Asia Pacific jurisdictions, Cayman Islands, Bermuda as appropriate. Working closely with the relevant Head of Compliance on suspicious activity which includes conducting investigations and thereafter generating the finalised report prior to reporting to regulatory authorities;
- Provide routine and ad hoc compliance reporting for periodic compliance risk assessments and analysis performance of the related control environments;
- Support the relevant Head of Compliance in the implementation and update of Compliance Policies including any updates from local regulatory bodies and perform other compliance tasks including without limitation periodic review;
- Perform horizon scanning and analyse proposed legislative and regulatory developments to monitor impact and conformance with the applicable laws and regulations;
- Attend to other assigned tasks as required.
- At least 3 to 5 yearsâ compliance experience. Solid experience (including APAC experience) and proven track record relevant to Apexâs business (
- Strong people management skill, excellent problem-solving and analytical capability, being able to work independently and working as a team player;
- Reliable, adaptable, motivated and driven with an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
- Organized and ability to communicate, engage and build relationships across the organisation;
- Excellent English proficiency. Good written and drafting skills;
- Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Access.
