- Understand project requirements, client specifications, and electrical load demands.
- Perform electrical load calculations and prepare power distribution schemes.
- Design HT/LT distribution systems including transformers, panels, and switchgear layouts.
- Develop lighting layouts (internal & external), emergency lighting, earthing & grounding systems, and lightning protection systems.
- Selection and sizing of equipment such as Transformers, DG Sets, UPS, LT Panels, PCC/MCC panels, Circuit Breakers, and cables.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, cable schedules, and equipment layouts.
- Design ELV systems including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Data & Communication networks.
- Coordinate with HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Plumbing teams for integrated MEP design.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS standards, NBC guidelines, and local statutory regulations.
- Follow safety, energy efficiency, and sustainable design practices.
- Stay updated with evolving electrical codes and industry best practices.
- Technical Coordination & Execution Support
- Provide technical inputs during design development and project execution.
- Support procurement and site teams with technical clarifications.
- Assist in resolving site challenges and ensure design intent is maintained during execution. • Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and optimization initiatives.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed design drawings, calculation sheets, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Maintain organized documentation for project records and audits.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and revisions as per project schedules.
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial, pharma, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of HT/LT distribution, power systems, and ELV integration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; knowledge of ETAP, Dialux, or similar tools preferred.
- Familiarity with execution practices and site coordination.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
