Position Title: Data Controls EngineerLocation: BengaluruJob ProfilePosition detailsData Integration / ETL Developer with hands-on experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts for large financial institutions using Python, Informatica, and related database technologies such as DB2, Oracle. In this role you will focus on enabling data aggregation controls from disparate sources or systems. Responsibilities include implementing data control checks writing testing scripts; performing quality control on data and data storage; identifying or developing control standards to funnel data into a single platform; Familiarity withdata architecture, data integration, data governance, and data lineage concepts; Experience working in Agile environments, working with Agile teams and JIRARoles and Responsibilities:
- Data Reconciliation: Assist in comparing and reconciling data from various sources using reconciliation tools and software.
- Data Validation: Conduct basic data validation and verification activities to ensure the accuracy of data sets.
- Error Identification: Help identify discrepancies, errors, or anomalies in data and collaborate with senior specialists to address and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of data reconciliation processes, findings, and resolutions.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing reports summarizing data reconciliation results.
- Data Cleansing: Support data cleansing efforts by working with data owners and teams to correct and clean data as necessary.
- Learning and Development: Continuously learn about data reconciliation tools and best practices, seeking guidance and mentorship from senior team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Data Analysis, prior experience working with industry best practices is preferred.
- Experienced in data warehouse and data integration projects
- Hands-on expertise in developing ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) mappings and workflows using Informatica is preferred.
- Expertise in relational and dimensional databases like UDB DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Unix shell/Python scripting experience.
- Batch Scheduling tools experience and knowledge
- Core Java experience and knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
