To ensure the smooth and safe operation of PLC-controlled machinery and equipment in the field by performing routine monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and supporting the automation/control team in system maintenance and fault analysis.🧰 Key Responsibilities🔧 1. Field Operation & MonitoringMonitor PLC-controlled equipment such as motors, valves, conveyors, pumps, fans, etc.Conduct routine field inspections to check equipment status and sensor/actuator health.Report abnormalities or alarms (e.g., tripping, signal loss, temperature spikes) to the control room or automation engineer.🛠️ 2. Troubleshooting SupportPerform basic troubleshooting of field instruments and devices connected to the PLC.Check for loose wiring, faulty sensors, actuator failures, or communication faults.Assist in isolation and restoration of equipment as per safety protocols.🧪 3. System InteractionInteract with HMI/SCADA screens during equipment operation or status checks.Acknowledge alarms and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for issue resolution.🧹 4. Maintenance SupportSupport preventive and corrective maintenance activities on PLC-connected equipment.Assist in loop checks, signal testing, I/O verification during commissioning or repair work.Maintain cleanliness and physical integrity of field-mounted panels and devices.🦺 5. Safety & ComplianceFollow safety standards including PPE usage, LOTO, and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.Respond to emergency situations as per plant protocol.Ensure proper housekeeping in field and control areas.📋 6.
