
Senior Engineer Network

- Implement, manage and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, WAN bandwidth/acceleration devices, Cisco Meraki SDWAN/LAN/Wi-Fi components, AWS, Azure and similar cloud infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of Palo alto/Fortinet Firewalls, IDS/IPS, load balancer viz. F5, VPNs including SSL, GRE and IPSec, NAC solution, reverse proxy and content filtering and Proxy services inclusive of Websense/Forcepoint/Zscaler, DNS, DHCP, IPAM etc.
- Responsible to Monitor, measure performance and costs through regular reporting and prepare summary of the systems including availability, usage and capacity.
- Responsible for active ticket queue management, including assignment in team and followup to closures; alignment with ITSM team on the process and procedures
- Responsible for creation of process, policies and SOPs required to support the Network Infrastructure and manage the operations
- Responsible for team mentoring, cross-skilling, skill rotation, and skill upgrade
- Assist and collaborate with Architects/Technical Leads in developing enterprise network solutions including creation of functional requirement documents, project plans and detailed implementation plans
- Conduct regular capacity monitoring, create baselines and forecast requirements based on it
- Conduct and participate in various Audits in support of InfoSec governance and compliance
- Support Local and Global IT network requirements and coordinate with Technical and Business Operations on issue resolution and support
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to and resolve problems affecting network and system performance, efficiency and availability, and recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs
- Lead and guide the team in troubleshooting, Infrastructure assessment, redesign, simplification, MACD activities
- Lead troubleshooting sessions in case of service degradations, Network unavailability or any Infrastructure related issues that may cause impact to business directly or indirectly
- Own the office moves of TMF and M&A project deliveries
- 10+ years of overall IT experience in Infrastructure technologies, including 5 years of work experience in lead role
- Expert in Cloud Technologies, Network Technologies & Distributed computing
- Strong communication skillset; both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to produce and implement ITIL-based procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced service providers.
- Demonstrated leadership through strategic thinking, and leading or initiating Business driven transformations.
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them to create solutions and adequately document created solutions
- experience and Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience in Infrastructure technologies, including 5 years of work experience in senior engineer roles
- A service mindset/attitude
- University graduate with relevant industry/technology certifications relevant for the expertise domain.
- Ability to analyze, present and support the decision-making process using data.
- Strong understanding of cloud, automation, and infrastructure
- Experience in successfully deploying Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Experience in successfully deploying Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Experience in scripting and coding a must.
- Experience in SD WAN and SD LAN
- Deep technical experience in IaaS network components (Azure / AWS)
- Ability to connect on-premises, edge technology to cloud offerings
