The impact you will have in this role:The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.Primary Responsibilities:

Architect and lead the end-to-end modernization of the Corporate Actions application.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native architectures (preferably on AWS).
Define and implement event-driven microservices using modern messaging platforms (Preferably Kafka).
Lead the development of a modular web front-end using modern frameworks (React or Angular).
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards, compliance, and security best practices.
Mentor engineering teams and promote DevOps, CI/CD, and observability practices.

**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **Talents Needed for Success:

20+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and solution design.
Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and cloud-native patterns.
Strong experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, and domain-driven design.
Deep understanding of messaging platforms (Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Experience with workflow engines (preferably Camunda or Appian) and orchestration tools.
Proficiency in web front-end technologies (React, Angular, TypeScript).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and API design (REST, GraphQL).
Knowledge of financial services, especially corporate actions, is a strong plus.
