The person will be part of Shared Services Global Technology Group and will be part of one of the strategic modernization projects. He/ She will work with a geographically dispersed, agile team to effectively translate requirements into solutions and seamlessly interface with business partners and technical staff.Mandatory Skills:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or higher as well as related field of study10+ years of professional experience in software developmentStrong experience in back-end software development with following skills:Strong in Core Java coding skills using JAVA 8+, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPAExperience with REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices Architecture.Experience with development using Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, Spring Security, etc.).Experience using ETL frameworks like Apache Airflow, Spring Batch, Apache Camel etc.Good knowledge of SQL (MS-SQL, PostGres Sql ), Snowflake and of NoSQL databases preferably COSMOS.Strong experience working with any Cloud Frameworks preferably Azure and of Docker, Kubernetes (AKS).Good experience with Enterprise Messaging frameworks like KAFKA.Good experience configuring/ troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines preferably Azure DevOps.Preferred Knowledge and Skills:Understanding of UI Development skills using React JS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3Knowledge of Financial/ Banking Domain.Good understanding of Build tools like MAVEN, Gradle and SCM tools like GIT.Knowledge of DB Performance TuningUnderstanding of Infrastructure as Code tools like TerraformUnderstanding Agile techniquesAdminister the automated job scheduling system, Control-M.Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as DynatraceExperience in incident management, understanding of ticket workflows and use of escalation.Good understanding of Change Management process and toolsExperience with ServiceNow is beneficial.Good understanding of Unix commands and Scripting.Experience of troubleshooting common database issues.Desirable Soft Skills:Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving SkillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsHighly flexible and adaptable to changeExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work well with peopleWillingness to sometimes work unsociable hoursEnthusiasm for continual learningWorking with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
