ACL explores high-risk approaches, pioneering technologies, and novel methods to accelerate KLA’s algorithms and contribute to KLA’s HPC technology roadmap. Located out of the IIT Madras Research Park in Chennai, India, we engage leading thinkers in academia, industry and KLA’s business units to create innovative parallel computing methods to enable KLA’s business growth.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsYour Day-to-day Roles

Understand existing computer-vision + AI solutions for defect detection and metrology, and identify limitations.
Be in active touch with latest developments in computer-vision, image processing, and related fields in both academic and industry.
Design, develop & demo proof-of-concept prototypes, and deploy new algorithms at scale to address the limitations of existing solutions.
Collaborate with a global team in identifying new problems and develop novel solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in CS, EE, AI, or related fields with 3-5 years experience working in computer vision and related areas, or Masters Degree with 5-10 years working experience; candidates with less experience may be considered if they have a remarkable track record.
Strong foundation and working knowledge on machine vision.
Strong programmer skills with background in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C++, C
Hands-on experience in model development, training, and deployment in modern AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
Ability to formulate problems into mathematical equations.
Proficient scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
Go-getter attitude with curiosity to learn new advancements in the field of data science.
Team player with good written and verbal communication skills.

Things to Make us go Wow!

Hands-on experience in developing infrastructure to enable training and deployment at-scale in in-house and cloud data-centres.
Experience with writing performance-sensitive python programs using frameworks like Triton, polars, etc.
Good track record of publications in leading conferences.
Experience with programming and optimization in low-level programming languages like CUDA.
Finally a strong background in Modern C++ concepts (C++ 11 through C++ 17), STL library would also be a way to stand out from the crowd.
