We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Software Developer to join our collaborative team.As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for assisting in migrating front-end screens of the portware trading platform from Java Swing, along with back-end Java development to support the transition.This role involves collaboration with the client's development team to ensure a smooth migration and deliver improved user experiences for institutional buy-side clients.ResponsibilitiesAllocate 70% of time to Java back-end development and 30% to front-end developmentImplement changes to Java back-end supporting the migration of front-end functionality and added featuresMigrate user interface components from Java Swing while ensuring Java back-end consistency, functionality, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutionsInteract regularly with the financial services client to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into the development processProduce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standardsExecute thorough testing and debugging of migrated components to meet functional and performance expectationsAddress application performance bottlenecks and optimize for speed and responsivenessDocument the development process comprehensively, including migration plans, technical specifications, and user guidesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5+ years of professional experience in back-end Java and React or Angular front-end development with a showcase of completed projectsProficiency in back-end Java plus React or Angular, with familiarity with TypeScript and RESTful APIsBackground in migrating applications from Java Swing or similar technologies to modern JavaScript frameworksFinancial services knowledgeCompetency in analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challengesStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersFlexibility to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to productivityNice to haveRelevant certifications in Java, React or Angular for front-end development
