This position is responsible to define the test strategy, create technical roadmaps, collaborate with development teams, create and oversee the execution of test plans. This position is in the embedded software engineering team, focused on development of customer visible features on a state-of-the-art display with CNHi next generation controllers. The software applications from this team are precision Agriculture/Construction functions that operate on all CNH machines.· Build and lead a global embedded software verification team responsible for verification throughout the development lifecycle.· Develop and implement an effective embedded software testing strategy· Implement and maintain an automated continuous integration and regression test environment· Establish and enforce quality assurance processes throughout the development lifecycle· Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in embedded software testing.· Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.· Oversee the execution of test plans· Participate in development and execution of budgets, short-term plans, and long-term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives.· Ensure adherence to department budgets.· Support all functions of the engineering process - including risk assessment, testing, and release of product.· Monitor and initiate improvement projects to current processes or policies.· Ensure accuracy and consistency of engineering documentation.· Promote and maintain the highest possible environment of teamwork and collaboration.· Provide assistance and direction on engineering issues, and keep appropriate staff informed of issues or concerns.· Assure staffing requirements are met.· Administer team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.Minimum Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with concentration on Embedded systems or a related field.· Minimum 15 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.· Experienced developing and executing embedded software testing within a structured process (creating requirements, developing, and verifying software).· Experience performing escaped defects analysis.· Prior experience leading teams effectively.· Problem-solving abilities.· Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.Preferred Qualifications (Ideal candidate competencies + Power/Soft Skills)· Process Certification (DSS, ISTQB, etc.)· Drives Results· Embraces Accountability· Embraces Continual Improvement· Intentionally Develops Others· Exhibits Sound Judgement· Forges Synergy· Demonstrates Leadership Presence
