- Design and oversee the construction of structures such as buildings, bridges, and retaining walls.
- Stay updated on local, state, and national building codes and regulations.
- Ensure that all projects comply with relevant standards and obtain necessary permits.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams and contractors to resolve any issues that may arise during the construction phase.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the durability and safety of completed projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials to maintain high-quality standards.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Provide cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or changes promptly.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Keep accurate records of project activities, expenses, and timelines.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including architects, surveyors, and other engineers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Proven experience in civil engineering projects.
- Proficient in relevant design and analysis software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
