- Works within the Cost Management team as a leader, managing cost management professionals within larger teams and delivering successful solutions for clients.
- Support the management direction and leadership of the Cost Management stream and are accountable for key account management and other business development related activity
- Will be a part of the Senior Management team (SMT) for the region.
- Ensure the business unit achieves/betters its budget turnover/profit for the financial year by agreed Net Margin
- Support in achieving target profit margin of 10% for the office
- To support in achieving target gross margin of 45% for office
- Support offices in achieving and maintaining average 85% resource utilization
- Achieve and maintain 90% accuracy in forecasting of financial information namely – monthly revenue and cost
- Prepare and continually maintain up to date TIC (Target Income Costs) sheets for all commissions indicating forecasted resource utilisation and profitability
- Achieve and maintain average debtor days between 30-60 days for all commissions
- Achieve and maintain 100% ETCi completion of all staff on a weekly basis
- Align with the financial reporting calendar (namely weekly utilization, short term rolling forecast, management accounts, aged debts) at APAC level and subsequently global level.
- Promote Service Excellence through TIC & ADD models
- Governance. Ensure that contractual risks are acceptable at tender stage and retained contract risks are effectively managed by:
- Compliance with T&T RM processes
- Submission of all T&C’s to RM Qualification of tender submissions in accordance with RM guidelines
- Implementing risk mitigation measures for identified & accepted risks.
- reporting risk issues to Divisional risk representative
- Maintain effective communication with Director, staff and fellow Associate Directors
- Ensure commercial contracts for Mumbai business unit’s services are administered in line with T & T policy. All agreements and proposed new services to be verified with RM and BUD as required
- Ensure that lessons learned / best practices from commissions are captured within KM system as appropriate
- Education - B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch
- You should have relevant experience of working preferably for a construction consultancy in India/abroad, hold a graduate degree preferably in Cost Management and possesses good technical skills.
- 15-20 years work experience with demonstrated career growth graph.
- Experience in multiple sub sectors within the property projects will be added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills, and the capability to relate and communicate with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds at all levels of the industry.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
- People management experience, particularly in the context of managing a cost management team delivering a project.
