- Engaging with Sales Team - Collaborate closely with the Sales team. Understand specific pursuit opportunity insights, engage into customer interactions. Ensure alignment with Emerson strategic objectives (e.g. execution strategy).
- Proficient in interpreting customer specifications - Understand Customer specifications and challenges. Tailor proposals accordingly. Engage Solution Architect and Sales engineer to align Emerson proposed solution. Participate in pre- and post-sales customer clarification meetings.
- Alignment with Operations / Execution - Work closely with Operations (Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and review proposal strategies together (lessons learned)
- Creating Competitive Proposals - Optimize solutions while maintaining competitiveness. Proposals would be multi-million, varying complexity and possibility of multi-location execution scope.
- Compliance and Governance - Ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements. This includes trade compliance, ethics, and adherence to corporate governance rules.
- Product Knowledge - Become well-versed in all company products, solutions and competition strategies. This knowledge enhances proposal effectiveness. Knowledge around following components is must.
- Flow measurement technologies and products (Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Turbine, Orifice), Specific products and applications suitability
- Selection & Sizing of Flow Meters
- Pressure Drop Calculations
- Piping Material Selection
- Development of P&ID and GA drawings
- Prover technologies
- Sampling Systems
- Good knowledge of standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, API MPMS, ISO and other industry standards related to solutions as required (regional).
- Other essential supporting skills:
- Customer requirements and Vendor Quote Evaluation and confirm compliance to requirements and make informed decisions
- Local Weights and Measures requirements for Customer / End Destination region and compliance the proposed solution
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills and action oriented.
- Flexibility to learn new things and understand different cultures.

- MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering.
- Up to 10 years of experience in managing concurrent mid-complexity proposals.
