- Play an integral role in the monthly production of attribution and contribution reporting ensuring it accurately reflects the investment process.
- Be a performance team’s point of contact for the relationship with investment desks and distribution colleagues in Asia.
- Assist in reviewing and validating attribution results, escalating anomalies as needed.
- Responsible for the data quality to allow the reporting of analysis of the underlying investments in portfolios across multiple asset types.
- Support enhancements to attribution methodologies and processes as investment strategies and systems evolve.
- A comprehensive knowledge of investment products, assets, performance processes and performance measurement techniques.
- Collaborate with investment performance, risk, and operational teams across global offices.
- Participate in working groups to harmonise reporting standards and improve analytical frameworks.
- Collaborate with the broader team to advance forward-looking analytics development.
- Proactively takes ownership and resolves issues of all types, contributes to the team’s project work along with supporting and training team members.
- Attend investment desk risk oversight meetings to present findings and provide evidence-based recommendations (with guidance).
- Evidence regular engagements with stakeholders.
- Contributes to the team being stakeholder focused, responding to ad hoc requests and considers scalable solutions as and when necessary.
- Proactively managing key client relationships to ensure team is aligned with business objectives. Ensures interaction with stakeholders regularly.
- Support integration of qualitative and quantitative insights into senior level reporting.
- Timeliness and accuracy of attribution outputs.
- Quality of insights delivered to investment desks.
- Evidence of analytics supporting portfolio decisions or process improvements.
- Positive feedback from portfolio managers and stakeholders.
- Contribution to cross-location collaboration and best practice development.
- Have strong performance measurement, ex post risk and attribution knowledge with a desire to develop analysis and enhance the client experience
- Will have a strong understanding of attribution and contribution methodologies and exposure to systems such as FactSet and Aladdin.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg PORT, Aladdin, Power BI/Tableau) and data manipulation (Excel required; SQL or Python desirable).
- Performance Related qualification (CFA or CIPM) or working towards equivalent qualifications desirable
- Strong communication skills—able to distil findings into clear, concise narratives.
- Collaborative and confident in team discussions.
- A strong interest and the drive to develop and transform the function towards a technology driven solution to provide greater client access to performance data.
- Curious, investigative mindset with a willingness to learn and challenge constructively.
