Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced SQL Server SME & Database Architect with deep expertise in SQL Server engineering, performance tuning, cloud migration, and enterprise database architecture. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and highavailability database platforms along with handson ownership of production systems.Key ResponsibilitiesSQL Server SME Responsibilities * Install and configure SQL Server in standalone and cluster environments.

Manage complete Backup & Recovery strategy, including pointintime restore and disaster scenarios.
Implement and manage database security policies, auditing, and access controls.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot High Availability technologies such as AlwaysOn, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Replication.
Conduct performance monitoring, query tuning, index optimization, deadlock analysis, and resource utilization improvements.
Troubleshoot complex production issues involving SQL Server, Windows, networking, or storage.
Manage SQL Server databases across Dev, QA, PreProd, and Production environments.
Configure and maintain database servers, monitor system health, and ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Automate routine DBA tasks, maintain documentation, and track environment changes.
Assist developers with complex queries, schema design, and execution plan analysis.
Provide 24x7 oncall support for critical production workloads.
Support release deployments, patching, upgrades, and planned maintenance activities.
Work with Windows Server components including Active Directory, clustering, and storage.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work independently, handle multiple tasks, and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Basic working knowledge of Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud environments.
Perform database backups to Azure Blob storage and handle cloudstorage integration.
Deep expertise in SQL Server Execution Plans & troubleshooting methodologies.
Handson experience with SQL Server 2019 & 2022 features.
Experience in database consolidation, migration planning, and SQL Server licensing models.
Working experience with Azure SQL & migration from onprem to cloud platforms.

Database Architect Responsibilities * Design and architect endtoend database solutions ensuring performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

Develop logical/physical data models, partitioning strategies, indexing frameworks, and storage planning.
Define standards for database design, coding, deployment, automation, and monitoring.
Architect cloudready and hybrid database solutions leveraging Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instance, or cloud VMs.
Lead largescale migration initiatives (liftandshift, replatform, modernization).
Define database governance, backup/retention policies, DR/BCP frameworks, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with infra, network, cloud, and development teams to create cohesive enterprise solutions.

Qualification: B.Tech/B.E/MSc IT/MCA with 60% throughout in academics.Location: Pune/Mumbai/Delhi/BangaloreExperience: 15-20 Yrs.
