What do we expect from you?

Fluent in written and spoken English
Completed studies in mathematics or (business) computer science or comparable qualifications and working experience
Working experience in the area of object-oriented application development in Java
Working experience with common development environments, test methods and software engineering tools (Eclipse, JUnit, Jira, etc.)
Proven experience in developing and testing (large) business logic
Solid SQL & XML Knowledge
Ability to work both independently and in pairs/small teams, high level of commitment, flexibility and resilience
Strong communication skills and positive attitude
Interest in working towards understanding a large and complex code base
Interest in understanding and analysing business requirements
Ability to quickly adjust to new information and requirements
Problem solving skills based on own work experience as well as ability to analyse factual information

Optional, but very beneficial

Experience in the insurance industry
Experience with test-driven development
Experience in using Jira and Confluence

Having a basic understanding or exposure to AI tools would be a plus.
