Government Tender and Projects SpecialistDepartment: Partnerships SalesEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: IndiaDescriptionJob location: GurugramAbout the role: The Government Tender and Projects Specialist will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the end-to-end process of government bid submissions in India. This person will team up with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant feedback on government bid opportunities.What you will be expected to doBid Identification and Evaluation:
  • Stay abreast of government bid opportunities in India relevant to our industry.
  • Analyze bid documents to grasp requirements, deadlines, and evaluation criteria.
  • Actively explore B2G business opportunities via GeM, EESL, central and state level government organizations, MNRE and its state level nodal agencies like CREDA, BREDA, etc., the International Solar Alliance, and other available.
  • State-level engagement with respective nodal agencies to liaison the business and project needs.
Cross-functional Teamwork:
  • Work closely with sales, legal, finance, and other relevant departments to gather the necessary information for bid submissions.
  • Foster effective communication channels to facilitate teamwork among internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance Management:
  • Ensure all bid submissions comply with government regulations and specifications.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address any legal or regulatory requirements and also ensure the approval meets the company's policies before the final submission of the bids.
Document Preparation:
  • Draft, review, and edit procurement documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with customer needs.
  • Compile the necessary supporting documents, certifications, and credentials required for bid submissions.
Deadline Management:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for all bid submissions, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Proactively communicate with relevant teams to gather the required information well in advance.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of procurement submissions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews to identify and rectify errors in documentation.
  • Ensure the company's policies will be followed throughout the project's execution.
Relationship Building:
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key government contacts and bid officials at the central and state levels.
  • Attend industry events and engage in networking activities to stay informed about potential opportunities.
You might be a strong candidate if you have/are
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field will add value.
  • Proven experience in managing government bids in India.
  • Strong grasp of government procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work Collectively in a cross-functional team environment.
