Job Description :Job Title: Maintenance Head – ERC Manufacturing PlantLocation: Barjora, Bankura (West Bengal)Department: Engineering / MaintenanceReporting To: Plant HeadSummary:The Maintenance Head plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of machinery and utilities within the ERC manufacturing plant. Responsible for maximizing equipment uptime and reliability, this position oversees preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, manages breakdown responses, and leads a skilled maintenance team. The role is pivotal in driving operational excellence through proactive maintenance planning, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives—directly contributing to enhanced MTBF, reduced MTTR, and optimized maintenance costs. With a strong focus on safety, compliance, and process optimization, the Maintenance Head ensures seamless plant operations across critical systems including forging, heat treatment, electrical infrastructure, and utility assets.Responsibilities:

Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance (TPM) programs across all production and utility systems

Ensure optimal performance and reliability of forging and heat treatment equipment, including induction furnaces, forging presses, tempering furnaces, and quenching systems

Lead timely breakdown maintenance and conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence

Oversee maintenance of key plant utilities: electrical systems, compressors, DG sets, cooling systems, and EOT cranes

Manage spare parts inventory, including forecasting, procurement coordination, and cost-effective stock control

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, maintenance SOPs, and regulatory compliance standards

Monitor and improve key maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and overall maintenance cost efficiency

RequirementsRequirements:

Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

4–6 years of hands-on experience in forging, heat treatment, or steel manufacturing environments

Minimum 2 years of experience in a team leadership or supervisory role

Proven track record in implementing TPM and managing maintenance operations in high-throughput industrial settings

Key Skills:

Expertise in TPM, preventive, and breakdown maintenance methodologies

In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Experience with furnace and heat treatment equipment operation and maintenance

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities

Demonstrated ability in team leadership and cost optimization in maintenance operations
