You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.You'll ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of our railway signalling systems, contributing to their design, analysis, compliance, and testing in line with EMC standards. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and suppliers), prepare test specifications, and solve EMC-related challenges, among other responsibilities.You'll specifically take care of drafting EMC control plans and performing on-site EMC tests, but also ensure compliance with Urban & Mainline EMC engineering rules.We'll look to you for:Writing EMC control plans based on project requirementsEnsuring the application of Urban & Mainline EMC engineering rules to projectsDelivering EMC documentation in line with project milestonesIdentifying and mitigating technical and physical interfaces to prevent EMIProviding EMC design rules and verifying their applicationPreparing and reviewing EMC test specifications and reportsPerforming on-site EMC tests, including surveys and measurementsCompiling EMC compliance documents at project completionAnalyzing and resolving EMC issues encountered during projectsParticipating in technical meetings and reporting progressApplying processes, best practices, and quality standardsAll about youWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication or Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience with knowledge in RF/EMC/Hardware designHands-on experience in power electronics or railways systems (e.g., rolling stock, traction equipment, signalling, communication equipment)Experience in analyzing electromagnetic interference and identifying root causesKnowledge of EMC design rules, including cable segregation, grounding, and bondingFamiliarity with EMC standards (e.g., EN 61000 series and EN 50121 series)Experience in EMC measurement, test procedures, and instrumentationBasic knowledge of EMC numerical simulation toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced proficiency in English (conversational, writing, and reading)Autonomy, proactivity, and excellent communication skillsThings you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
