The primary scope of the Wells Equipment Reliability team is to provide assurance to our wells and production organizations for the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant wells through a specialized engineering support, systems and tools.The Wells Equipment Reliability team owns, curates, and maintains large databases with well equipment details, performance, and failure data. The scope of the team includes continuing the digitization of data & processes, integration with multiple teams within wells and with the other departments in P&O and then delivering insights through deep analysis of the data to improve performance and reduce cost.The primary purpose of the role is to help maintain the wells equipment and related digital databases, systems, and tools. Ensure data ontology and quality in support of the wider data foundation effort.The role also includes working with other wells disciplines and regions. In particular, this includes working closely with Wells Solutions Digital and Automation team. Some equipment design and quality experience may be useful.The candidate needs to be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of their work. They should be comfortable working in a diverse, multidisciplinary team and be willing and able to contribute to the team’s overall goals and objectives.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the well equipment simplification and standardization strategy
- Engage and collaborate with regional wells teams and wells central teams
- Support development of digital tools in collaboration or under the supervision of the WS digital team or assigned product owner.
- Become familiar with bp practices 100220, 100222, 100218, and 100006 (Completion equipment, tubulars, well barriers, pressure testing, and well integrity management)
- Knowledge and implementation of digital and agile tools and processes.
- Understanding of agile process and framework such as the use of ADO product backlog and Kanban boards.
- Experienced with power bi type databases
- Challenge existing work processes in support of more automated and detailed activity
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering
- Database, MS sharepoint, and power-bi experience
- Strong work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with tracking, testing, and collaboration tools like Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Teams
- Ability to influence and work with others to achieve results
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Approaches problems from different perspectives to suggest and implement solutions
- Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development
- Experience with 3D modelling, stress analysis, or Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Experience with oil and gas drilling, completion, and intervention work and terminology
- Experience with equipment manufacturing and testing shops and equipment
