Job Title: Manager - Finance and Accounts Industry: Travel and Tourism Experience Level: Minimum 2 years Job Location: Guwahati Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic software company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, contract management, team leadership, and performance metric management within the software industry. You will be responsible for coordinating with our chartered accountant on monthly finance and accounting MIS, managing vendor payments and expenses, ensuring compliance and taxation coordination, and assisting with revenue booking and invoice generation. Your role will be crucial in streamlining costs and managing the cash flow of the organisation and also work closely with management to provide financial insights and recommendations in support of key business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting processes and analysis to support strategic planning. Manage financial reporting, analysis, and projection, including the preparation of financial dashboards for company performance monitoring. Oversee the preparation and negotiation of Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and other contracts. Collaborate with various departments to understand and support their financial needs and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Results Areas (KRAs). Handle Accounts Payable (APs) and Accounts Receivable (ARs), ensuring accurate and timely processing. Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Implement and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company's transactions. Record and categorize expenses, revenues, and other financial transactions. Generate regular financial reports for management review. Prepare and send invoices to clients and partners. Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms. Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost savings or revenue enhancement. Utilize accounting software and financial management tools efficiently. Identify and implement technological solutions to streamline financial processes. Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner. Essential Skills and Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred. At least 2 years of financial management experience Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and dashboard creation. Experience in managing SOWs, MSAs, contracts, KPIs/KRAs, APs, and ARs. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Proven ability in managing and leading a team. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Tally, financial softwares and advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and provide strategic insights to drive business growth. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial managers.
